GRAPHIC DESIGN / COPY & TECHNICAL WRITING

Below are some examples of packaging layouts and product instructions I co-created for our various brands and retail products. My brother and I are responsible for everything you’ll see below including all photography, graphic & logo designs (Adobe Creative Suite). I wrote all of the copy for the retail show box and/or blister-pack designs, as well as the more technical & descriptive writing on both the packaging and instructions. Most of these designs were geared toward our fun, “party-going Spencer’s crowd” target demographic and each of these products performed extremely well at retail.

RETAIL PACKAGING


The GLOWPONG Glowing Game Table - Classic Green vs Blue retail box was also designed specifically for display at all Spencer’s locations.

Green and Blue were our original GLOWPONG Game Colors as we tried to emphasize Team vs Team game play. This larger box was a blast to decorate with our colorful photography and gave us plenty of room to hype our game and brand as a fun, party lifestyle. “Turn off the lights and GET LIT” is probably my favorite line of copy from this endeavor. ;)

Our GLOWPONG Glowing Game Tables are also a top-seller for the brand and this table was the best-selling product in all Spencer’s locations for 2 years.


For our PartyStar Portable LED Party Light we created multiple retail packaging options including a small show box, blister pack, multiple unit “check-out” display and Warehouse Club display.

We tried to showcase what the device can do using bright & colorful photos while supplying as much info as possible with limited space regarding the product’s swiss-army-like party functionality.

PartyStar was another big hit for us at Spencer’s and on Amazon.


Our RetroPop Puzzles debut for Amazon: BOOMshakalaka! was another incredibly fun retail box to design. We tried to give the box a retro vibe to coincide with our brand name and logo while (obviously) showcasing the bright and colorful boom box puzzle. For the back of the box, I told a little “brand story” with the copy while showcasing some behind-the-scenes photos from our puzzle creation process. RetroPop is more of a fun “side-hustle” project and it’s first round of sales on Amazon has gone well.


PRODUCT INSTRUCTIONS

The GLOWPONG Glowing Game Set - All Mixed Up retail box was designed specifically for display in all Spencer’s brick & mortar locations. With a college-aged party crowd as our target audience, we made this box as colorful, eye-catching, humorous and fun as possible.

This Game Set is one of our best-selling products of all time, with current sales for the entire GLOWPONG line topping $30 Million at retail to date.
